TMP Interiors is now FIS Accredited
It’s exciting to be part of the growth of the Finishes and Interiors Sector (FIS) community, which includes contractors, manufacturers, and distributors of a wide range of fit-out and finishing products such as ceilings, steel framing systems, operable walls, partitions, plastering, dry lining, and specialist interior fit-out and refurbishment businesses.
Fit-out and finishing are crucial aspects of every building project and have a significant impact on the appearance, functionality, and overall performance of a building. TMP Interiors is delighted to be members of CITB
CITB is the Industry Training Board for the construction industry and a partner in Construction Skills, the Sector Skills Council.
The role of CITB is to act as the industry training board for the construction sector in England, Scotland, and Wales. It’s their job to help the construction industry attract talent and to support skills development, to build a better Britain.
CITB is an executive non-departmental public body sponsored by the Department for Education, accountable to government ministers, and ultimately Parliament.
HSE
Naturally, Health & Safety in any construction environment is vital – As such TMP are dedicated to ensuring it complies with all requirements as a responsible employer and supplier.
Health and safety are one of the most important considerations in the construction industry and are particularly important because the industry is prone to hazardous situations and can be dangerous at times.
CHAS
CHAS, or the Contractors Health and Safety Assessment Scheme, is one of the founding members of SSIP (Safety Schemes in Procurement) and is recognised by clients and other organisations including the HSE (Health and Safety Executive) as being a Stage 1 Approved Health and Safety Assessment Scheme.
The purpose of the CHAS Accreditation Scheme is to simplify the contractor assessment and pre-qualification process by adopting a common standard in accordance with the competence assessment requirements of the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015.
This allows clients to have an assurance that as a CHAS Accredited Contractor, TMP Interiors has been assessed to a minimum common Health and Safety Standard.
For many organisations, CHAS accreditation is now considered a prerequisite before a contractor is allowed on to a tender list.
Hence as well as health and safety, CHAS now has significant commercial importance as without it, companies can be excluded from tender lists altogether.
It also shows potential clients, and the HSE, that TMP Interiors is compliant with the highest standards of safety in our business.
