Scope of work

TMP Interiors was engaged to deliver drylining and suspended ceiling works in a live terminal environment. The project demanded precision, flexibility, and close coordination to meet both the operational constraints of a bustling airport and a rigorous construction programme.

Through close collaboration with Edmont and the supply chain, TMP Interiors delivered a high-quality, precision-engineered interior. The final product has been well-received and is now operational, enhancing the passenger experience at Terminal 2.

This project highlights TMP Interiors' capability to manage complex, high-pressure environments, delivering excellence in both aesthetics and functionality.

Project Highlights

Live Environment
Works were carried out during both day and night to minimize disruptions to airport operations and to adhere to a demanding schedule.

Partition and Lining Walls
Bespoke CNC-cut skirting details for precision aesthetics.

Constructed using a combination of metal stud, bendable plywood, and Gypsum Glasroc for durability and design flexibility.

Suspended Ceiling

Featured concealed lighting details, enhancing the terminal's visual appeal.

Utilised a combination of Gypsum plasterboard, fibrous plaster casted sections and slatted metal extrusions to create varied textures including open-cell areas for enhanced spatial dynamics.

Site Constraints
The project footprint was highly constrained due to ongoing airport operations.

Complex Coordination
Required seamless integration of recessed and concealed services.

Logistics and Timing
Long lead times for key components such as glazed façade panels and curtain wall frames, which were installed after the interior walls were constructed.
